Special Investigations Unit (SIU) deals exclusively with situations regarding potential fraud, waste, and abuse. SIU works closely with federal and state agencies responsible for identifying and investigating potential insurance fraud, waste, and/or abuse, as well as our many providers and other insurance companies. 

How You Can Help

Insurance fraud is more common than you might think. Common forms include: 

• A health care provider bills you for services you never received 
• Payments are made for services previously covered by another insurance carrier 
• Payments are made to or for someone who was not an eligible subscriber or dependent 
• Someone uses your MVP Member ID card to obtain medical care, supplies, or equipment
