Do You Have These Two Cards?

If you qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid, you could qualify for a Dual Special Needs plan. These types of health plans are sometimes called dual insurance policies. They offer more than Original Medicare and Medicaid offer on their own. And they have no additional monthly payment.

What are Dual Special Needs Plans?

Dual Special Needs plans are sometimes called D-SNPs or DSNP plans. They are special types of Medicare Advantage plans.

D-SNP Plans are for people who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.

When you enroll in D-SNP, you get coverage from both Medicare and Medicaid. This is why some refer to D-SNPs as dual insurance policies. They come with extra support and benefits for no additional monthly payment.
