Use the Benefits Mastercard® Prepaid Card (Prepaid Benefits Card) from our partner, NationsBenefits®, to buy eligible items at some stores. Participating retail locations include:

Sales tax may apply to some items.
Please note: The Prepaid Benefits Card is not a debit card, and it cannot be used at an ATM or to receive cash back or to buy prescription drugs, alcohol, tobacco, firearms, or gift cards. The card comes pre-loaded with the benefit allowance, but it must be activated before use.
How it Works
Members have one monthly allowance to spend on the items you need! Use your Prepaid Benefits Card to purchase health-related OTC items or groceries, or to pay for some utilities including electricity, water, heat, internet, and phone. Benefit Changes for 2026
Effective January 1, 2026, this benefit will change to follow new rules from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
- All MVP DualAccess members will be eligible for a $25 OTC Allowance.
- Some MVP DualAccess members may be able to receive an additional allowance* to help pay for OTC items, groceries or utility bills. Along with additional eligibility requirements regarding recent care, you must be diagnosed with one of the seven chronic conditions to qualify.
*Not all plan members will qualify for this benefit in 2026. The benefits mentioned are part of special supplemental benefits for MVP Medicare Advantage members living with cancer, cardiovascular disorders, chronic heart failure, dementia, diabetes, chronic lung disorders and chronic and disabling mental health conditions. A chronic condition alone does not guarantee eligibility. All applicable eligibility requirements must be met before the benefits are provided. The card balance is available in your Benefits Pro Portal account at MVP.NationsBenefits.com, in the Benefits Pro App, or by calling NationsBenefits at 1-855-996-4327 (TTY 711). A member of the Care Team can also help members check the balance.

You cannot use this card to get cash, or to buy foods such as soda, chips, cookies, or ice cream. You also cannot use it to buy prescription drugs, alcohol, tobacco, firearms, or gift cards.
