At MVP, we want you to see what matters in life. That’s why our Medicare Advantage plans include benefits that give you the flexibility, choices, and cost savings you deserve so you can get the care you need.
Most plans offer a yearly allowance to use toward glasses and contacts purchases. See what coverage is available with our different plan options. We also work with our vision partner, EyeMed, to offer additional vision benefits as part of our plans.
Please note: If you receive your Medicare coverage through an employer, your vision benefit is not administered by EyeMed. You can use your vision allowance to see any provider that accepts Medicare. While that would include EyeMed providers, you may not have access to the EyeMed benefits listed here. Please review your Evidence of Coverage (EOC) to confirm your vision benefits, or call the MVP Customer Care Center at the phone number on the back of your MVP Member ID card.
Flexible Options for Glasses and Contact Lenses
You have access to national, regional, and independent retailers of glasses (both frames and lenses) and contact lenses. Some of EyeMed’s in-network retailers include:
- LensCrafters®
- Pearle Vision℠
- Target Optical℠
You can also shop for glasses or contacts from LensCrafters, Ray-Ban, Glasses.com, and ContactsDirect.
Your plan lets you save on the vision products and services you need from participating in-network providers:
- 40% off additional complete pairs of glasses (beyond what’s included in your plan)
- 20% off nonprescription sunglasses
- 15% standard prices on laser vision correction
MVP Health Plan, Inc. is an HMO-POS/PPO/HMO D-SNP organization with a Medicare contract and a contract with the New York State Medicaid program. Enrollment in MVP Health Plan depends on contract renewal. MVP Health Plan, Inc. has been approved by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) to operate as a Special Needs Plan (SNP) until 12/31/2024 based on review of MVP Health Plan’s Model of Care. Health benefit plans are issued by MVP Health Plan, Inc., an operating subsidiary of MVP Health Care, Inc. Not all plans available in all states and counties. Every year, Medicare evaluates plans based on a 5-star rating system. Out-of-network/non-contracted providers are under no obligation to treat MVP Health Plan members, except in emergency situations. Please call our customer service number or see your Evidence of Coverage for more information, including the cost-sharing that applies to out-of-network services. Other physicians/providers are available in the MVP Health Care network. Gia virtual care services are available at no member cost-share for medical plans, including qualified high-deductible health plans (QHDHPs). Exceptions may apply for self-funded plans. In-person visits and referrals are subject to cost-share per plan. Members enrolled in a Medicare Rx plan without additional MVP medical coverage do not have access to MVP virtual care services through Gia.
